Ask your senator or representative to make a one-minute floor speech opposing the FDA’s plan to sweep many supplements off the shelf and make the ones that survive much more expensive. Urge them, just as Senators Harkin and Hatch did, to ask the FDA to retract the guidance altogether and start over. Remind them that the NDI draft guidance is bad for the economy and costs American jobs. Read more and Take Action.

This week a judge told FDA to reverse course regarding antibiotic overuse in livestock and protect the effectiveness of the medicine for humans. Please write to FDA today, and tell the agency to stop creating ineffective “window dressing” standards, and complete the process they started 35 years ago. Tell them to withdraw approval of non-therapeutic uses of antibiotics in animal feed immediately, as ordered by the court. Read more and TAKE ACTION.

Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) has stood up for health freedom by introducing the Genetically Engineered Food Right to Know Act before the U.S. Congress, only to witness it later die in committee. And once again, Rep. Kucinich has introduced the bill in the current congressional session, this time as H.R. 3553, with 21 co-sponsors thus far — and your help is needed to finally get this legislation acknowledged and passed into law. Amendment 7 is a Wisconsin Dietitian Licensing Bill that passed the Committee on Homeland and State Affairs. We ask you to stop this amendment because:
- The scope of practice in Amendment 7 defines a practice of dietetics that would prevent other nutrition practitioners from practicing.
- There are MANY alternative nutrition professionals qualified to provide specific nutrition care services to individuals besides dietitians. .
- The scope of practice in this bill could potentially severely damage the careers of 600+ nutrition professionals currently practicing in WI, eliminating their jobs and livelihoods.
- This bill will limit freedom of choice for consumers and disempower them. .
